Two days of sunshine this week is all it's taken to get us excited about summer again. Aaaaah beer gardens, lazing on Southsea Common, the Bandstand... All that fun to come, and it all starts this weekend with the Castlefields Festival...

"What?" I hear you say. "A festival? In Southsea?" Yes, that's right, and we don't just mean a stage, three bands and a few market stalls. The British tradition of summer festival season officially kicks off this weekend in Southsea.

Part of 'OxJam', Oxfam's fundraising through music initiative, Castlefields 2008 sees more than 50 artists and DJs do their thing across five different stages and tents. Basically, if you're not there, you'd better have a damn good excuse. And there's lots more going on over the next week too...
